Here are some of the cookies Anders made.


As you might be able to guess, there used to be another "a," but it got eaten before we thought to take a picture. Anders came up with a fix for that.

The North and South classes will be making soup with a hefty dose of friendship on Friday. In addition to that key ingredient, Soren will be contributing celery.

how the apple crumbles

Sigrid and Soren made some apple crumble.

Soren cut the apples in very uniform slices, and he figured out that if each quarter apple gets cut into three slices, that means each apple turns into twelve apple slices.

After swimming, we hung out on a cold and windy beach for a few hours. So when we got home, we cranked up the fire.

These sit up on a shelf at La Petite Baleen. I never see them get used. Which perhaps is not surprising—would you want to use these?

haircuts

Our trees got trimmed, and this pile reminded me of the hair sweepings at a barbershop after a haircut.


In addition to the usual trims, we took the redwood down some. It was already topped when we moved in—really, a redwood doesn't make a lot of sense in a dense city neighborhood. But the neighbors behind us wished it was a bit lower, so that it didn't block their views.


Now we have some stools under the redwood.

Made it out to New Orleans for the 2015 National Asian Pacific American Bar Association conference.


Due to a mechanical issue with our plane, we were delayed for about 90 minutes, which meant we had a nice sunset as we arrived.
