Day to day, Anders finds new things to laugh at. A lot of them seem to be funny only for a few hours, or maybe a few days, so if we want to document them, we need to do it quickly.

In the past few weeks, Anders has gotten more and more interested in his stuffed toys. And lately his favorite may be the softest dog in the world, which we've named Kodi Junior.

Goodbye, 162

Three years and a day after my movers arrived at 162, we had movers take all our stuff to the new house.








The wine cabinet is extra heavy, to promote thermal insulation. And it's very deep for a piece of furniture. Without a doubt, it was the most annoying piece for the movers to deal with.

Anders learns to squeak

Anders discovered that when he whacks his right foot on the floor, sometimes he gets a squeaky sound.


For a while, he just kept whacking that foot to see what would happen, not realizing that the magic squeaky trick only worked if his parents placed him just right on his gym.

New House

We own it. The deed is being recorded as this post goes live.


We signed the closing papers on Friday, and then celebrated with a bit of sparkling wine. And our escrow company congratulated us with a couple of bottles of wine, in cute little Chicago Title bags. Nice touch!
