DC: National Mall

On Sunday, we took in the National Mall.

Alex, the big boys and I got dropped off on the wrong side of the Lincoln Memorial, and indeed on the wrong side of the crosswalk-less street. But that did allow for pics of the Art of Peace...

...and Art of War statues.

This is the backside of the Lincoln Memorial.

...and the columns on the front side.

There was a sign reminding us to be respectful. I guess Soren didn't read it.

The reflecting pool, with the Washington Monument off in the distance.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is quite haunting and thought provoking.

Vietnam War Veterans Memorial

Three helicopters, which I am told usually means the President is there.
