Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...

I've had this beautiful chestnut pan for several years, but only just tried actually using it tonight.

It managed to get about 6 ounces of chestnuts on it.

Roasted them (after cutting bits off to allow steam to escape) 5-10 minutes over the open (gas) fire.

The boys didn't care much for the charred bits, but I loved the flavor. Reminded me of chestnuts you can get on the street in Seoul or New York.
