sardine snack

  • 1 tin 2-layer brisling sardines, in olive oil (plus an empty tin)
  • a few sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced on the bias
  • crushed red pepper
  • scant teaspoon capers
  1. Split sardines (including oil) across two tins.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, arranging so the sardines are on top.
  3. Broil for 4 minutes.
Serves one (especially so in this household, since there's only one of us who would touch this).
