Sigrid decided we should have a weekly hike, starting last week (when we strolled through Golden Gate Park a bit), and ending if and when hiking becomes incompatible with the pregnancy. For hike #2, we walked with Cecily and Dessie from Lands End to Eagle's Point and back.
Anders got another batch of hand-me-downs from Theo, including an absolutely adorable cap. I think it goes particularly well with his Tintin tshirt.
He also got a Thomas bag, which he can use to carry snacks.
Mama found the cap so adorable she had to kiss him. At first, Anders didn't really warm up to the kiss (the fact that he was playing with Mama's iPhone might have something to do with that).
...but he did eventually. I'd say this is right up there with the photo of the sailor kissing a woman in Times Square in celebration of the end of World War II.
I managed to catch one more pic of him in the cap while he was brushing his teeth.
When I got in my car, the ambient temperature sensor claimed it was 103°F outside, which was plainly false. But even after I had been driving around a bit, it insisted it was quite hot out.
And a bit later, Yahoo Weather, via my iPhone, was telling me something similar.
And the National Weather Service says that it hit 99°F in San Francisco...
We went on a walk through Golden Gate Park today, where we ate some lunch from Arizmendi, fed bread to some ducks, and saw some buffalo.
While we had some work being done on our entry steps, Sigrid and Anders visited Grammy and Grandpa.
We spent another lovely week in Russian River. Not a lot of pictures to document it, but we had a great time.
Anders let loose with some improvised song.
We finally found a tool that can blow bubbles fast enough to keep up with Anders's bubble needs.
Here Anders is, trying out the insanely large river toy his Aunt Clara bought him. Hm, wait, something's not quite right here.

Sigrid, Anders and I took a field trip to Jenner, and after lunch we decided to visit one of the most deadly beaches in California.

On our last day in Russian River, we took a short stroll through Armstrong Redwoods State Park, and also visited Bullfrog Pond.
